See below how to set up the game and play cards onto the table.
Every set collection needs their own space with each card somewhat visible so that other players know what sets you are collecting and how many full sets you have.
The same applies to your jewel cards, although ensure you don't have duplicates in your set (a set of jewels is made up of six different jewels).
Gold coin cards are played into your treasure chest and can be stacked on top of one another to remain anonymous (only you know how much gold you have).
Action cards are played in the discard pile and if players finish the draw pile, the discard pile is then shuffled and becomes the new draw pile.
At the beginning of the game all the players, without revealing, write down:
One of the five Captains
One of the five Treasure Maps
Players will then have to collect those Captains and Treasure Maps, which they have written down, in order to win.
Upon the completion of the game, the winner reveals their selection.
(If not the same, then the game continues.)
To win:
Collect fifty gold instead of thirty gold.
Collect one extra set, any type will do.
